How to choose my imprint name?
One option is to use your author name as your imprint name or in your imprint in some manner. For example, John Smith might use the imprint, “John Smith Books.” Another option is to choose a name that means something to you or that you just happen to like. For example, “Main Street Press” or “Waters Edge Publications.” A third option that may be particularly useful to author who plan to write books in several different genres, is to have a unique imprint name for each genre. This is how traditional publishers typically organize books in the various genres they publish. For example, you might want to use the imprint “Sword & Stone Publishing” for your sci-fi/fantasy titles and “Light & Dark Press” for your amateur sleuth mystery titles.
